Pilates Classes @ Saltfleet Clinic

Our tailored physio-guided exercise (pilates) classes are designed individually for you by our experienced physiotherapists.

We offer the following types of exercise classes:

  • Regular physio guided exercise

  • Rehabilitation physio guided exercise

  • Pre-natal physio guided exercise

  • Post-natal physio guided exercise

  • Pregnancy physio guided exercise

How do I get started?

We will conduct an initial assessment where your physio will identify your goals and areas for improvement and familiarise you with our exercise studio and equipment.

Then your physio will guide you through your own personalised exercises specific to your needs in our exercise studio space over 1-2 one-on-one sessions.

From there, you’ll be ready to enter our small classes. Class size is capped at 3 people and you will each be working on your own personalised program based on your initial assessment. These classes are designed to ensure you still get plenty of 1:1 time with your physio, so you get the level professional guidance you need.

Pilates was developed by Joseph Pilates in the early 1900s as a form of exercise designed to improve flexibility, general strength, core strength, posture, coordination and balance whilst increasing control and endurance of the entire body – with your personalised program being catered towards all of these benefits, or any other goals you might have!

Pilates is suitable for people experiencing:

  • Neck pain

  • Back pain

  • Whiplash injury

  • Poor posture

  • Osteoarthritis

  • Osteoporosis

  • Balance issues

  • Post joint surgery rehabilitation

  • Core/pelvic floor issues

  • Pre/postnatal women

  • General strength/flexibility

We utilise the world-leading Allegro 2 Reformer and accessories. The Allegro 2 is the most intuitive and easy-to-use reformer on the market and will enable you to implement a personalised, low impact exercise program.

Our physio-guided exercise classes are suitable for people of any age and fitness level, as programmes are tailored to the individual’s unique capacity and goals. It is a safe, highly effective way to rehabilitate the body following injury. Our physios will guide you through the progression of your program, to continue to challenge you as your strength, endurance and overall capacity improves.

We are also excited to say we offer classes specifically for pre/postnatal women with supervision from our women’s health physio, to assist you throughout your pregnancy journey.
