Dr Elise Devlin | Provisional Psychologist
 

Dr Elise Devlin is a Provisional Psychologist who is passionate about creating a safe and supportive space where clients feel comfortable, heard, and understood, so they can explore, reflect, and grow.

 

She holds a PhD in Psychology and has a background in university teaching and psychological research.


Elise is warm, friendly, intuitive, and neuro-affirming. Her approach to therapy is evidence-based, holistic, flexible, and client-centred. Elise’s therapeutic work is informed by a range of modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Attachment Theory, elements of Schema Therapy and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing. She works collaboratively with each client, tailoring therapy to suit their unique needs, goals, and strengths.


Elise enjoys working with people across the lifespan and has a special interest in anxiety disorders, mood disorders, trauma and attachment, perinatal mental health, and health psychology. She recognises the importance of both the mind and body in mental health and wellbeing.

Elise uses a variety of modalities with her clients, including:

  • Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

  • Chair work

  • Attachment Theory

  • Elements of Schema Therapy and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
